Do like a tree!

When we build emotional resilience we don't let problems knock us down.

Nature is a great example of resilience. When there is a storm, trees and plants do not hold on to it, but let it pass.

Our emotions are like weather changes that come and go. Whenever we are in the middle of an emotional hurricane it is very useful to remind ourselves: And this too shall pass. It is temporary.

In the meantime, don't suppress the emotion, process it:

1. Naming it
2. Feeling it in the body.
3. And shaking it like a dog after a roll in the hay.

An emotion can be released in 60 seconds. What holds us to it is the thought. So if you see that you get stuck in it, ask yourself: What do I get by being stuck in it? attention from others? do I feel safe in misfortune? ...

Take note of this awareness.

And ask yourself: What thoughts do I want to energize to have the life I want?

Focus on them.

This is a way to train your subconscious mind.

* If you find it difficult to move away from the negative inner voice, you may need help to reprogram it.
